SR-10B / SR-30B / SRK-101B are Fingerprint stored Smart Card Readers which are compatible with 13.56 MHz(MIFARE) ISO14443 type A.
SR-10B / SR-30B / SRK-101B combine the fingerprint sensor with a Philips MIFARE® contactless Smart Card Reader to produce a high security front end to an Access Control System. The smart card is used to store a fingerprint template, so that when the card is presented to the reader, the template is read from the card and
the user is prompted to place their finger on the fingerprint sensor.
The combination of smart card and biometrics has achieved in two step authentication where smart card authentication is based on a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and the card holder is authenticated using the biometrics template stored in the smart card that is based on the fingerprint verification.
